PRIMARY TECHNICAL FOUNDATION
Java / Spring
Building and extending backend applications, REST APIs, batch jobs, and multithreaded core Java services. Practical experience with existing systems as well as new application functionality.
THE EXPERIENCE BEHIND OUR SERVICE
Technical assessment led by a practicing software engineer with hands-on experience building, extending, and refactoring Java / Spring and C# / .NET business applications—and interviewing candidates for engineering teams.
Primary focus: Java / Spring. Selected C# / .NET searches, with assessment scope agreed for each role.
Explore the experience01 / THE HIRING PERSPECTIVE
The engineering background behind our service includes both hands-on development and experience conducting technical interviews for engineering teams.
That experience informs a role-specific conversation about what a candidate personally built, how they reason about technical decisions, and what they can explain in depth. The aim is to give your hiring team better evidence—not to predict or guarantee its decision.
“What did you build yourself?
Why did you choose that approach?
How did you check that it worked?”
02 / SOFTWARE ENGINEERING BACKGROUND
The background below informs our assessment. Coverage of specific technologies and versions is confirmed for each search.
PRIMARY TECHNICAL FOUNDATION
Building and extending backend applications, REST APIs, batch jobs, and multithreaded core Java services. Practical experience with existing systems as well as new application functionality.
ADDITIONAL APPLICATION EXPERIENCE
Business-application development with C#, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, and SQL Server, including background processing, notifications, and external-service integrations.
CONNECTED BUSINESS SYSTEMS
SQL and relational databases, including Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL. Application work connecting email, SMS, payment services, and data flows between systems.
MAINTAINABLE SOFTWARE
Design patterns, refactoring, and unit testing, with a focus on making complex applications easier to understand and extend. The background includes JUnit, NUnit, and Mockito.
03 / DESIGN & KNOWLEDGE SHARING
The background also includes application-level architecture, leadership of small engineering teams, and development of skills-enhancement courses for software engineers on unit testing and design patterns.
We bring that combination to the assessment: ask about the reasoning behind a solution and explain the evidence to the hiring team. A technology list is a starting point, not a conclusion.
An assessment should explain
why a skill matters for this role.
04 / WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOUR HIRING TEAM
Separate the candidate’s own work from the wider team’s technology stack and achievements.
Discuss application design, integration, debugging, and testing through an original, role-relevant scenario.
Describe demonstrated strengths, points for further discussion, and areas not assessed. Your team retains the final hiring decision.
05 / CLEAR SCOPE
Java / Spring backend and integration roles are the primary focus. Selected C# / .NET searches are considered after confirming the required assessment coverage. Experience with Spring AI informs selected Java application-integration discussions; it is not presented as a machine-learning research specialty.
Assessment is separate from candidate preparation. Preparation helps candidates explain genuine experience; coached performance is not reported as independent evidence. Employer-specific interview materials, proprietary code, and non-public hiring information are not part of the service.
Tell us what the engineer needs to accomplish. We will discuss whether the role fits our technical assessment scope.
